Who It's For
People with a short trip who want the two experiences Bali is actually known for, without spending half of it in a car working out logistics.
Level 1 suits anyone with average fitness and no hiking experience. Level 2 is for people who hike regularly and want more elevation and a quieter summit. You choose when you book, and you can change your mind up to the day before.
Why Not Back to Back
We will generally advise against running these on consecutive days, and it is worth explaining why. Batur means a 3am pickup and Nusa Penida is a full day that starts with a fast-boat crossing. Doing both inside 48 hours is possible and most people who try it enjoy the second day considerably less.
A rest day between the two costs you nothing and changes the trip. If your dates genuinely do not allow it, tell us and we will sequence them to put the boat day first.
Best Time to Come
April to October gives the clearest sunrises on Batur and the calmest crossings to Nusa Penida. Those are also the months when manta sightings at Nusa Penida are most consistent, peaking around April and May.
In the green season from November to March the mountain is far quieter and you have a good chance of standing above a thick cloud layer, which is its own kind of spectacular. The boat crossing is the part that weather affects most.
